| About L&T Technology
Centre-II The L&T Technology Centre-II is designed for 5000 workstations. It will be a twin- tower structure with two basements (2,52,000 square feet), ground floor, eight upper floors and 2 additional floors for future expansion and a terrace with helipads. The floor plate of the structure will be 29,000 sq. feet each while the total office built-up area will be 5,39,000 square feet. The Centre will have, among other things, a Canteen, a Data Center for the total Campus; and a Recruitment & Training Center. The Building form has been designed to metaphorically represent an IT portal to symbolize the growth of the organization into a major software player. The pristine form attempts to create a landmark in contrast to the predominantly
varied and fragmented
industrial environment. The
Building has been
conceptually designed so as
to create a curtain glass
front all around, since the
site is encompassed on all
sides by major arterial
roads. A Steel-Concrete
composite structural system
is adopted to bring best of
both materials. Composite
Metal Deck Slab System is
proposed to increase the
construction speed. The
building is surrounded by
landscape areas through the
entire perimeter of the
building that continues into
the central portion of the
two towers. The landscape is
also designed to act as a
buffer between the high
traffic zones and the serene
ambience of the building. The Architects for the project are Raja Aederi Consultants Pvt Ltd, Mumbai, while L&T's ECC Division is the construction contractor. |
