Bhoomi Pooja Marks Commencement of Construction of Chennai TC-III  
“ I am extremely happy to see the Campus growing big. The TC III will be another landmark building which will get international recognition and add yet another feather in the cap of ECC, ” Mr. K. V. Rangaswami (KVR), Whole -time Director & President (Construction), L&T, said on the occasion of the Bhoomi Pooja of the 5000-seat Software Development Center for L&T Infotech here today. Mr. Rangaswami traced the history of the Manapakkam campus and wished the construction team all success. He also said that TC III with 8.30 lakh sq. ft built-up area will be one of the biggest complexes.
 
Mr. V. K. Magapu, Chief Executive, L&TInfotech; and Member of the Board, L&T, in his address said that with the golden touch of KVR, the TC III will be yet another milestone for ECC. He also said that L&T Infotech will grow to over 5000 people in Chennai in the years to come.”
About the Center
The SDB-III is a part of Phase 3-Expansion Plan of the L&T Technology Campus, spread across the 12-acre plot located in the Export Promotion & Industrial Park (EPIP), Karnataka Industrial Area Development Board (KIADB) Area, Whitefield, Bangalore. This new facility is designed to provide an extra edge to L&T Infotech in successfully tapping the new business potential.

The SDB-III is a basement + ground + 5 storied structure with a total built-up area of 1,20,000 sq. feet. The basement is designed for car park, utilities like electrical room, fume extraction facility and a control room. It has 12 conference rooms, each having 17 seats and 12 conference rooms, each having 10 seats, in addition to 24 discussion rooms, each having 6 seats. One of the unique features of this facility is that each floor has two wings, each equipped with a Software Testing Lab.

The Architects were the Singapore-headquartered RSP Architects and Planners and they received design assistance from the Chennai-based Engineering Design & Research Centre (EDRC) of L&T's Construction Division.
